About
Raised in the Midwest, I’m a graduate of Bowling Green State University (Ay Ziggy Zoomba) and the University of Michigan (Go Blue). I’ve spent many late nights juggling chipboard and design partis in architecture studios, but these days I’m designing logos, writing fiction, and volunteering with an organization that provides free resources for writers.
In Austin, TX, I served as business director and stage manager for a non-profit theatre company where I wrangled spreadsheets, hunted for props, and generally kept things running backstage. I also have eight years of experience working in a used bookstore selling everything from Magic Tree House books to Funko Pops.
When I’m not playing with vectors, spreadsheets, and Scrivener, I’m getting lost in the latest book from my local library. I read a lot of character-driven adult fantasy, but I can’t resist a good adventure story from Michael Crichton or narrative non-fiction from Erik Larson. You can also find me designing and stitching cross stitch patterns (usually something nerdy).
Things I’d love to talk to you about:
gluten free baking
Peter Jackson’s The Lord of the Rings movies
podcasts (specifically My Brother, My Brother and Me, Oh No! Ross and Carrie, and My Favorite Murder)
Animal Crossing New Horizons, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, and Skyrim
The Decemberists, The New Pornographers, and The Alan Parsons Project
